Terrarium to lift the winter doldrums!

I've been searching high and low for a project that would put me in touch with the coming spring. Although we've had a relatively warm winter (74 degrees, what?) the sun still doesn't shine as brightly and the gloom of winter hangs over us all. Low and behold I find this wonderful project by Mark Montano on my Facebook feed and immediately I am inspired to go to work. Of course, this means a trip to my neighborhood Dollar Tree to pick-up a few supplies. But hey, if it gets me out of the house, I'm there!

I'm a visual kind of person and all I really need is to look at a picture to discern what I'm going to need. This usually means I leave a lot of details out of the mix which equates to several trips out. This time I am bound and determined to get the job done in one fell swoop. Quite ambitious of me and I'll let you know how all that turns out.

It looks as though he's using a large piece of laser cut wood, I believe I'm going to go with a large chip board in my stash - I'll do a quick video of my version and update you real soon!

For now let me update you quickly on the "other" projects I have swirling around my house. Valentines Day... well, let's see. I finally got the lantern completed and out for view, but the video just won't upload to my youTube channel. The apothecary jars are complete for the most part, but one of them doesn't seem to have the same cute pink flower on top... I guess that means I need to grab the hot glue gun and finish it off. It's sitting just below my lantern on display, so I'd better get that done or people are going to question my ability, LOL!

Yesterday the liquid chalk pens came in and I was finally able to put up the Valentine chalkboard. My son was quite impressed with it... I'm smiling because all I did was write "Happy Valentines Day". I love my son!
